Our long-time client, a global communications company, gathered a cross section of its workforce for a strategic leadership event in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2.5-day conference included a general session, breakouts, community service activities and an offsite social event for 200 people.
Serve as meeting architect and the hub of the client’s planning committee, engaging internal and external stakeholders as needed to achieve the organization’s event goals.
Using our existing in-depth knowledge of the organization we began by guiding the planning committee in the design and execution of measurable event goals. We scheduled committee meetings, managed the overall project plan and followed up with team members as needed. Special D Events recommended specific, strategic technology, creative elements and logistics. For example, we engaged a graphic recording artist to capture key messages and increase retention.(The graphic recording artist’s work was shared with all participants post event.) Our team managed also managed participant invitations and registration, coordinated food and beverage, and collaborated with the client’s in-house producer on audio/visual. We were, of course, onsite from start-to-finish.
