Pricing

Special D Events charges a consulting fee to organize, promote and manage your events. We also invoice you – at cost -- for any direct expenses we incur in the process. Depending on the scope of the project, we charge either a flat fee for a specific event, or an hourly consulting rate. Our No Mark Pricing™ policy and willingness to offer a menu of services are uncommon practices in the industry, and greatly appreciated by our clients. Other event management firms prefer to be hired for “all or nothing”, and they mark up their sub contractors.

No-Mark Pricing™

Our firm is a general contractor of sorts. We know it takes a team of experts to produce a successful meeting, event, anniversary or special event. That team may include hotels, ground transportation companies, graphic designers, printers, entertainers, decorators, caterers, etc.

No single company can provide all these services in a cost effective manner. If someone offers to do so, you should be aware they may be a “jack of all trades”, but master of none. We consider our clients’ event goals and budget before recommending specific event vendors and partners. We negotiate with those vendors, oversee their work, and maintain communication among them throughout the planning process, making sure the project management is seamless.

As our client, you’ll not only receive the best creative ideas and quality because of this arrangement, you’ll receive it at a lower cost as well. That’s because we offer No Mark Pricing. No Mark Pricing means that although Special D Events negotiates the contracts with these vendors, and reviews every invoice, the contracts with them will be in your name and you’ll pay them directly. That means there you do not pay a mark up on their services.

But, if you prefer to write one check, that’s fine too. You can pay for the entire event with one payment to Special D Events. In that case, we do charge a mark up on the vendors we use, but some clients prefer this method because it is easier for them. Your choice!
